Joan's ashes were interred in the Grove Cemetery in Holden, MA on May 15th, 2021 along with the ashes of her late sister Madelyn Chain.
Her graveside service was attended by a small group of dear friends and family. You can view the service leaflet here.
Joan and Madelyn were laid to rest near the Laurel Ave. section of the cemetery.
Memorial Bench
Joan loved to enjoy her lunch or an ice cream cone in Atkinson Common in Newburyport, MA
We have donated a bench in Atkinson Common in her memory. It is overlooking the pond near a weeping evergreen tree. If you are in Newburyport we invite you to visit her bench and enjoy the park!
